has kicked the bucket, as indicated by reports. He was 89.

Roat passed on in Orange County, California, on Aug. 5, his family affirmed to Variety and Deadline. A reason for death was not given.

Roat made his TV debut in 1962 with an appearance on the sitcom "Vehicle 54, Where Are You?"

He immediately climbed to series ordinary status, handling the job of Dr. Jerry Chandler on the heartfelt show "The Doctors," which he featured on from 1963-1964.

He played Conrad Hutton in the long-running drama "Days of Our Lives" in 1985 and Professor Henry Moore in 1991.

During the '90s, he gained visitor jobs on "Destroy About You," "The Nanny," "Murphy Brown," "Living Single" and "Seinfeld."

Rott's last TV job was a visitor appearance on the wrongdoing show "24" in 2009.
